Breast Care Update Webinar

Breast Care Update Programme

Breast Care Update is a two-part programme designed to provide a comprehensive and practice-oriented overview of the latest advances in breast imaging and treatment.

The first session highlights the pivotal role of breast MRI in tackling complex clinical scenarios, supporting accurate diagnosis, staging, and therapeutic decision-making. The second session focuses on evolving multidisciplinary approaches to breast cancer treatment options, from surgical strategies and radiation therapy integration. Bringing together leading experts, this series offers valuable insights to help clinicians stay at the forefront of innovation and deliver high-quality, patient-centred breast care.

Part 1 | Breast MRI and Beyond: Challenges and New Directions in Imaging

On-demand session available from 9th October

On-demand session available from 9th October

Breast MRI remains the most accurate imaging modality for detecting breast cancer, particularly in challenging “problem-solving” scenarios. It plays a key role in specific contexts such as invasive lobular carcinoma, DCIS, and preoperative staging. In addition, MRI is essential for assessing response to primary systemic therapy and for detecting recurrences. Accurate imaging in these settings can be critical in guiding treatment decisions and ultimately improving patient outcomes. In this on-demand session, leading experts will share their insights, with a particular focus on the value of breast MRI in preoperative assessment and treatment evaluation.

Expected Educational Outcomes

  • To understand the clinical indications for MRI and CEM in breast imaging.
  • To know the role of preoperative MRI, including identification of cases where MRI is optional and cases where MRI is crucial.
  • To become familiarised with the updates on the breast MRI findings
  • To understand the duality of CEM and MRI with a special focus on indications and pros & cons of each modality
  • To know which findings the radiologists must assess when evaluating response to neoadjuvant therapy on breast MRI to meet the oncologists’ needs
  • To be aware of the hot questions in everyday practice of breast MRI imaging

Part 2 | Breast Cancer Treatment Today: Evidence, Innovation, and Multidisciplinary Practice
Live session on 15th October

Live session on 15th October

Advances in breast cancer care increasingly rely on a well-coordinated multidisciplinary approach, where clinical decisions are guided by both evidence and collaboration.

From the highly structured workflows and organisational models of breast centres of excellence to evolving surgical techniques and the integration of radiation therapy within breast reconstruction pathways, the field continues to progress rapidly. Together, these developments offer new opportunities - while posing important challenges - in the pursuit of optimal patient outcomes, both oncological as quality of life-related, and high-quality, patient-centred care. In this webinar, leading experts will address these key topics, providing practical insights into modern treatment pathways and highlighting how to deliver high-quality, patient-centred breast cancer care.
