Critical Findings in Abdominal Imaging: expect the unexpected.
The prevalence of critical findings in imaging studies in the outpatient setting is not negligible. These are findings that require prompt communication with the referring physician because of their urgency or unexpectedness, and that may be ultimately critical for the patients’ outcome.
Timely identification and communication of critical findings is a benchmark for patient safety and quality of care, and will also reflect on higher confidence levels between referrals and DI services.
On the one hand, patient safety is a concern and must be assured at all times, in a patient-tailored fashion, regarding risk vs benefit.
In this webinar we will have the opportunity to listen to presentations from internationally renowned experts on abdominal imaging, addressing didactic cases that go beyond what meets the eye on the routine practice, as well as those subtle though potentially signifficant findings that are true diagnostic challenges and have an impact on patient management.
