Affidea Romania Acquires Three New Centres

On Thursday 2nd July Affidea Romania announced its takeover of the SANMED Group, the largest provider of medical services in the Oltenia region.

SANMED was established in 2002, then one of the first private healthcare services providers in the city of Ramnicu Valcea.Itcurrently includes 3 centres: Diagnostic Imaging CentresRamnicu Valcea and Slatina,plus Medical CentreRamnicu Valcea, and employs over 100 people.

SANMED centres are recognised for the quality of the medical services offered to patients, but also at regional level, for the volume of patients they serve. Over 17,500 patients / year use the services of the two diagnostic imaging centres, whilst Medical CentreRamnicu Valcea servesapproximately 50,000 patients / year. With this acquisition, Affidea has increasedits presence on the Romanian medical services market, reaching a total of 14 centres.
