Brand Activation: Affidea Sponsors Major Sports Events in Ireland and Portugal



Whether it is the Rock n Roll Half Marathon (a global brand originating in the US), the World Medical Football Championships (what European Cup?) or Setúbal European Capital of Sport, Affidea is present as a major sponsor, deploying brand activation and supporting these huge, crowd-drawing sports events, as part of its commitment to promoting a healthy lifestyle and proactive approach to healthcare and prevention.

This year the Irish national medical football team, consisting entirely of qualified medical doctors, sported a smart, professional new kit with the Affidea logo displayed prominently across the front. The team enjoyed great success at the global tournament held in Barcelona this month, reaching the quarter finals and beating the likes of Brazil and Mexico! “The team achieved fantastic publicity for Affidea and we are very proud to have contributed to their success. Congratulations to all involved!” commented Tom Finn, Affidea Ireland CEO.

Meanwhile, in Portugal, the city of Setúbal is set to host a series of high profile national and international sports competitions throughout 2016 and Affidea is a master sponsor, with our logo visible on all official materials. Kicking off with the Fina Marathon Swimming Olympic Games Qualifier, the Affidea Portugal team were out in force with several prominent banners, a branded Affidea health pack and interactive stand. Hostesses introduced the public to our recently opened, state-of-the-art Setúbal centre and gave them free health prevention advice packs detailing crucial screening packages available at Affidea centres.
