Affidea Continues its Expansion in Spain with the Acquisition of Algete Clinic in Madrid

Madrid, November 7, 2022 - Affidea, the largest European provider of advanced diagnostics, outpatient and cancer care services, has announced the acquisition of the companies Vipresa S.L., Sermedes and Dresyden Prevention, which focus their activity on the Algete Clinic, a reputable outpatient medical provider in Algete, Madrid. With this acquisition, Affidea Spain adds to its business lines prevention services and occupational health for companies while further expanding its outpatient services in the Community of Madrid, where it already runs 15 centres.
The medical centre in Algete is a renowned healthcare service provider engaging 62 professionals, 27 of them doctors, with a portfolio of more than 30 specialities*.
Founded in 1991, Clinica Algete provides a wide range of healthcare services in collaboration with PHIs for work accidents. Moreover, it provides medical assistance for schools, sports and psycho-technical accidents in recreational boat skippers, permits for the possession of dangerous animals, obtaining and renewing licenses for weapons, private security and obtaining and renewing drivers' licenses. Clínica Algete is also one of the 23 accredited companies in Spain to carry out medical examinations for the national Railway company.
Through Vipresa, the company carried out more than 7,500 health campaigns during 2021 and works as a Vaccination Center of the Community of Madrid. The Occupational Health services are carried out through Dresyven Prevention, which has a dedicated facility in the centre of Madrid, serving over 10,000 workers, and providing more than 5,000 work examinations last year.

With this acquisition, Affidea reaches 43 centres in Spain, serving more than 545,000 patients each year and working with more than 1,100 professionals. Affidea Spain expands its geographical presence throughout the national territory, with a reinforced capacity in outpatient services that enables Affidea to become one of the preferred medical providers for companies and private health insurers.
